Halloween Party, Two Thousand Thirteen

We had so much fun last week with some of our favorites, partying in celebration of Halloween. We are so impressed with the costumes, yummy treats and the dance moves. We started it off by sending invitations to our people via PIXINGO. We love Pixingo and all the fun cards we can send to people and how easy this website makes it! (We also made the hanging "Trick or Treat" banner with Pixingo) So thanks to them...

When everyone arrived we ate yummy soups, voted for best costume, played games, and danced to a killer DJ {THANKS Tim Nixon}! What is better than a night spent with K I L L E R friends? 2nd Annual Halloween party...success!

1,335 Miles Later

Just days after graduation, Cam and I packed up our home and headed South and then East 1,335 miles to Longview, Texas. The drive was a doozie, but we were survived by running races between the 2 of us at deserted gas stations, naps sitting upright in our seat because our car was full to the brim, and books on tape. Let's just say we aren't overly excited for the drive home next month, but to say the least, we know how to make it interesting.

Con-GRAD-ulations

I am pleased to announce that my sweet Cameron and I are finished with our college days. Cameron completed his classes December 2012. We both walked in our graduation ceremonies in April, and thank the heavens, I finished my 3 online classes last week! It's official. We have so many people to thank and recognize for their support during these years. Especially our awesome parents. I do have to say, we have mixed emotions now, as so many of you can probably relate to. With all the buzz of back-to-school gear, classes and schedules, Cam and I feel some longing for the school craze.

Still we are off to new adventures and I can't wait for what the future holds. We are definitely blessed with the best! 

Baby If Your Good To Go

This semester has been quite the beast, therefore I have been lacking in my blogging. I have great plans to catch up here during spring break though.

In January, Cameron did a good thing. When it was too cold to bare here in Utah, he took me away to Mexico for some much needed sun. The tacos, sand, ocean, tacos, tacos and sun was the perfect medication for my senioritis.

So This is Christmas

Christmas is long gone over and I haven't posted in quite a while. However, I do have another unique story to tell about this holiday as well. Being our first Christmas as a married couple Cameron and I paid close attention to each others' wishes in hopes to make it a memorable one. We spent Christmas morning with the Ricks and enjoyed a magical morning with the in-laws and nieces and nephew. While we swooned over each gift and our wishes came true I was given a box by my sweet husband.

 It was a boot box, to disguise a gift I had been begging for for months. The coat of my dreams! I was so excited and grabbed Cam's face to give him the kiss of his dreams and went in with a little too much force.

The bloody nose didn't even take away from the excitement of the longed for coat. I was still as happy as can be and enjoyed the rest of Christmas morning with tissue up my nose. Our goal was accomplished. This Christmas was very memorable.

Thanksgiving Smoothie

Cameron and I had a new and unexpected experience with Thanksgiving leftovers this season. This is a little delayed, I know, but it took a while to decide if it was something the public should know. After a a long day at school the Monday following Thanksgiving, Cameron and I b-lined it over to the in-laws to feed on delicious leftovers we knew were awaiting our arrival. We opened the fridge to find a huge zip-lock bag of what appeared to be the leftover turkey and stuffing. 

Frantically we warmed up the food and began to snarf. To our surprise we found rolls, cranberries, green beans and any other thanksgiving goodness you might find on the table the day of the feast. We were rather pleased by the concoction and continued to eat up. 

A few days later we were talking to my mother-in-law Connie and told her what a great idea it was to mix all the food together in a bag and how tasty the "Thanksgiving Smoothie" was and asked if she had any more. When she realized what we were talking about she let out a roar of laughter. She couldn't get a word out she was so hysterical. When she finally did, she told us the news...

Thanksgiving Smoothie was all of the leftovers from everyone's plate, scrapped into a bag...

If you go to UVU, you have probably seen the sweet old man walking around school in his tattered clothes and a HUGE smile on his face. I have seen him around for the past year and a half. He is brave and talks to anyone in his path. I admire him as I have watched him shower people with compliments. People he doesn't know, anyone & everyone! Who is this guy? He is sincere and you can feel it even being 10 feet away from him. He is so kind and people are always leaving his presence with a slight smile or an ENORMOUS smile. 

Today was my turn.

What a blessing it was to be in his path.

He came right up to me, told me to smile, showered me with compliments and looked me right in the eye the entire time.

He said, "I hope I made you feel good." and shook my hand.

Then he left. 

I was a victim of exactly what I had observed for months leading up to this moment. 

Sure enough, I walked away with a smile on my face and I am still feeling good.
